Regulatory Reporting Analyst
Monzo
📍London
About us:
We’re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.
We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.
We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.
About our Team:
Our Finance team is growing and we’re looking for a curious, adaptive and data-focused Regulatory Reporting Analyst with a strong attention to detail to join our regulatory reporting team at Monzo. The team is responsible for understanding our prudential regulatory requirements, working on projects and submissions relating to these and collaborating with teams across the bank.
Your day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Taking a leading role in interpreting and applying regulation (largely CRD IV/CRR in the UK)
- Documenting regulatory interpretations and communication
- Designing and implementing controls to make sure we’re compliant
- Enhancing Monzo’s regulatory reporting validation and control framework
- Implementing and testing (UAT) new releases of the Bank’s automated regulatory reporting tool
- Providing regulatory input into new product launches by partnering with teams internally to help them make informed business decisions
- Assisting in the production of Monzo’s entire suite of capital and liquidity regulatory reports and disclosures (Pillar 3)
- Ensuring any regulatory reporting you’re responsible for runs like clockwork, including leveraging our data visualisation tool to build dashboards and enable live reporting where required
- Designing brilliant ways to automate our work and leveraging technology to ensure we scale with the business.
You should apply if:
- You’re a qualified accountant with experience working within financial services
- You have previous knowledge of regulatory reporting - especially capital and liquidity reporting and financial reporting (FINREP)
- You’ve got great data skills and experience with Excel (SQL knowledge would be a bonus)
- You have experience in the large-scale implementation and testing (UAT) of automated reporting solutions
- You want to automate or enhance recurring processes, particularly by leveraging technology, but know how to balance this with getting the actual reports out!
Personal
- You enjoy new and exciting challenges
- You’ve got an open mind, enjoy transparency and thinking outside the box
- You’re hands-on and take satisfaction in supporting colleagues, projects or tasks however big or small
